We celebrated Ben's due date/birthday today. Alex just wanted to have cake I think. And NO I'm not choking Ben - he can't exactly hold his own head up to blow out the candles yet...

BABY!
Friday morning at 5:41am, we added a new member to the family! Benjamin Alexander is 8 lbs., 3 oz, 19 inches, and about 2 and a half weeks early. After a long night, he and mom are doing a lot of sleeping today.

Countertops, plumbing fixtures, electric fixtures
The countertops were put in today in the kitchen and master bathroom. The toilets and sinks were installed as well and are now working. The fireplace was hooked up and can now burn. Most of the recessed lights and switchplates were put up as well. Water softener is in. The basement is drying out now despite all of the rain today. If it isn't raining tomorrow they will put in the driveway and sidewalk. New Finish Date
We met with Brett and the concrete guy today to plan out the driveway and sidewalk. They will pour it on Thursday as long as it isn't going to rain all day. The final grading of the lot should be done this week. The countertops should be delivered and installed either today or tomorrow. We have a new finish carpenter who will be building the lockers, columns on the front exterior, and anything else that comes up. The stone on the outside of the house and the rest of the siding should be done next Monday. Basemen Flooring will be back next week Wednesday to apply the final coat on the wood floors. The carpet will be put in next Thursday, as will the appliances. Cleaning will be done on Friday, and we should have an occupancy permit by next Friday evening (the 15th). This is 5 days later than we thought, but not too bad as long as it actually happens that way.
